Elena Spengler was born on September 23, 2000. She trains at Girls Co-Op Gymnastics.

Elena made the National TOPs Diamond Team in 2007 and 2008. She competed level five in 2008. She won all five gold medals at the State Championships. She competed level seven in December. She won floor at the Christmas City Classic. In January, she finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Maryland Classic. Elena competed level eight the remainder of the season. She finished fourth on floor at the Excalibur Cup and second on floor at the Manhattan Classic. She made the National TOPs Team in the fall.

Elena competed in elite qualifiers in 2010. She had strong performances at both the Sand Dollar Invitational and Buckeye Classic including a first place finish on floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. In December, she won beam, floor and the all-around as a level ten at the Christmas City Classic. Elena qualified to hopes elite at the 2011 WOGA Classic. In March, she won beam at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. She won all four events and the all-around at the US Challenge!
