Rachel Spicer was born on June 12, 1994. She trained at Texas Dreams in Coppell, Texas. She moved to Metroplex in the summer of 2010. She will graduate from Marcus High School in 2012.
In 2005, Rachel competed level seven. She competed at the Surf City Classic. At the State Championships, she won bars and finished fifth all-around in the gold division. She moved up to level eight in 2006. At the IGI Chicago Style, she swept the gold medals. She also won all five golds at the National Judges Cup. At the State meet, Rachel won uneven bars. She finished second on bars and beam at Regionals.
Rachel moved up to level nine in 2007. She competed at the WOGA Classic. At Regionals, she placed second on bars, floor and the all-around. At Westerns, she finished third on bars. She placed in the top ten all-around! She moved up to level ten in 2008. At the Texas North Qualifier, she won the all-around. Rachel won bars, floor and the all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. At the Rose City Classic, she won vault, bars floor and the all-around. Rachel finished second on vault at States. She won bars, floor and the all-around. At Regionals, she placed second on floor, vault and the all-around. She ended her season by finishing fourth all-around at JO Nationals. She earned a spot on the JO National Team!
She continued to produce great results in 2009. At the Kurt Thomas Invitational, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. At the Texas Prime Meet, she won vault and the all-around. Rachel finished third all-around at the WOGA Classic. At States, she swept the gold medals! She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished fourth all-around, making her second consecutive JO National Team. She finished third on vault. In 2010, she won vault, floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed first on vault, floor and the all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. At the Metroplex Challenge, she finished third all-around. Rachel won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Nadia Comaneci Invitational. At the State Championships, she won floor and the all-around. At Regionals, Rachel won vault, floor and the all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals, winning the all-around title! She placed fifth on vault, fourth on bars and third on beam and floor.
