Sloane Smith was born on December 7, 1995. She trains at Girls Co-Op Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2005, Sloane competed level five. She placed third all-around and first on vault at the Friendship Classic. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2006. She placed fourth all-around and second on floor at the State Championships. Sloane competed level seven in 2007. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Sloane finished first on floor and the all-around at the 2008 Level 8 State Championships. She competed at Regionals. Sloane began competing level nine in 2009. She finished second all-around at the Maryland Classic. She won floor at the Manhattan Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault and floor. She finished third all-around. Sloane won beam at Regionals. She finished fourth all-around. At Easterns, she placed fifth on floor.

Sloane continued competing level nine in 2010. She won vault at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Buckeye Classic, she won floor and the all-around. Sloane placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Manhattan Classic. At Regionals, she finished first on floor and the all-around. Sloane placed fourth on vault, first on floor and sixth all-around at Easterns. She moved up to level ten in 2011. She finished fourth all-around at the Katie Baldwin Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished first on floor and third all-around. Sloane placed third on floor at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she won floor.
