Sarah Jean Sullivan was born on February 13, 1985. She graduated from Sprague High School as Valedictorian. She competed for Salem Gymnastics Center for ten years.

She qualified for Westerns in both her freshman and senior year. She finished second on floor and sixth at Regionals as a senior. Sarah competed on all four events as a freshman but she just did all-around twice. She finished seventh on floor at Nationals as a sophomore. Sarah was twice named MPSF Gymnast of the Week as a junior. She took third on vault and in the all-around at nationals. She was named second-team All-America on beam. At the MPSF Championships, she placed second on beam.
