Jessica Starcevich was born on December 21, 1992. She trained at Sports Club of Novi in Michigan for several years. She began training at Gymnastics East following the 2006 season after her family moved to Washington.
In 2005, Jessica competed level seven. She won beam and placed third on floor at the Flytz Classic. She moved up to level eight in 2006. She competed at the IGI Chicago Style. At States, she won uneven bars and placed in the top ten all-around. She ended her season at Regionals. She finished sixth all-around and fourth on floor. Jessica moved up to level nine in 2007. She finished sixth on beam at the Hard Rock Invitational. At States, she finished in the top ten all-around. She placed tenth all-around at Regionals. Her highest event finish was fifth on floor. She ended her season at Westerns.
Jessica continued competing level nine in 2008. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She finished second on beam. At States, she finished third on floor. She did not compete all-around but petitioned to Regionals. Jessica won floor and the all-around at Regionals! She placed second on beam and third on vault and bars. At Westerns, she finished twelfth all-around! She won a bronze medal on floor.
Jessica began competing level ten in 2009. She won beam and placed third on floor at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet. At the Great West Gym Fest, she placed fourth on floor. At States, she qualified for Regionals. Jessica placed second on beam at Regionals. She qualified for the JO National Invitational Tournament. At this meet, she won a silver medal on beam.
