Nicole Steele was born on September 20, 1997. She trains at Auburn Gymnastics Center in Washington. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2006, Nicole competed level five. She competed at the All American Invitational. At the Vegas Vacation meet, she finished third on vault and beam. She placed second on floor. She competed at the Spring State Championships. She finished fourth on floor. She moved up to level seven for the 2007 season. She won a bronze medal on beam at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished seventh all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She won floor at the Emerald Team Challenge. At the State Meet, she finished in the top ten all-around.
Nicole qualified for the Washington State Judge's Cup Team. She placed third all-around in the competition between the States. She also competed for her club at the National Judges Cup. She won bars and the all-around. At States, she won beam. She won floor at Regionals. She finished seventh all-around. She moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished fifth all-around at the Byers Invitational. At States, she won floor and the all-around. She won bars, floor and the all-around at Regionals. She finished second on vault and third on beam. At Westerns, she finished sixth all-around. She placed third on floor and fifth on beam. In July, Nicole qualified to hopes. She competed at the US Challenge
In 2010, Nicole competed level ten at the first few meets of the season. She finished third all-around and first on beam at the National Judges Cup. She placed third on bars and beam at the All American Invitational. She then returned to level nine. She placed third all-around at Regionals. She won a silver medal on floor. At the Western Championships, she placed second on bars and sixth all-around.
