Shannon Stoffel was born on July 22, 1997. She trained at Olympiad Ellisville through the 2008 season. She then moved to Team Central. She will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2006, Shannon competed level four. She placed second all-around at the GymQuarters Invitational. She finished first on vault and bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level five in 2007. She placed second all-around at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2008. She finished third on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. At the State Championships, she finished sixth all-around. Shannon moved up to level seven in 2009. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the Gateway Challenge. She placed second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Circle of Stars meet, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Spring Tune Up Invitational. Shannon finished first on bars at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet.

Shannon competed level eight in 2010. She finished first on bars at the Crossroads Classic. She placed second all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Gateway Challenge, she placed third on beam. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Shannon placed third all-around at Regionals. Shannon moved up to level nine in 2011. She finished third on bars at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. Shannon won bars and beam at the Gateway Challenge.
