Alexis Stokes was born in June 2000. She trains at Denton Gymnastics Academy and will graduate from high school in 2018.

In the fall of 2008, Alexis competed Level 5. At the State Championships, she scored a 37.10 all-around and finished in the top 10. She competed Level 6 in 2009, finishing 1st all-around (AA) at the District Qualifier and the North State Championships. At the State Championships, she scored a 36.70 AA and finished in the top 10.

Alexis competed Level 7 in 2011. She finished 2nd AA at the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational, 1st AA at the WOGA Classic, 1st AA at the Anna Brashear Memorial Invitational, and 3rd AA at the Houston International Invitational. At the Level 7 Texas State Championships, she placed 1st on beam, 2nd on vault, and 3rd AA.

She competed Level 8 in 2012 and finished 1st AA at the Friends of Achievers Invitational. She placed 1st on bars and 1st AA at the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational, where she also vaulted for Denton USA in the Elite competition. At the Houston National Invitational, she placed 1st on beam, 1st on vault, 2nd on floor, and 1st AA. In addition, she placed 1st on all four events and 1st AA at the Anna Brashear Memorial Invitational. At the Texas Level 8 State Championships, she scored a 37.800 AA and finished in the top 10. At Regionals (Region 3), she scored a 38.075 and finished in the top 10. She also placed 3rd on bars. Alexis is currently training for Level 9 and Hopes.
