Eryn Stubblefield was born to Bill and Cathy on July 27, 1988. Her sister is Kaleigh. She placed soccer at Pacific University in Oregon. She trained at GK Gymnastics when she lived in Colorado. She then trained at National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics until her senior year of high school. She followed her coach to Willow Creek.

In 2002, she competed as a level ten. Eryn continued competing as a level ten in 2003. She qualified to the JO National Championships in 2003. She made it again in 2005 and 2005. At the 2005 Level 10 Regional Championships, she finished third all-around. She was also third on vault and floor. Eryn was the alternate to JO Nationals in 2006.

Eryn had a great freshman year at Sacramento State University. She competed in the all-around several times. She was a first team all-WAC on beam after placing third at the WAC Championships. In 2008, she competed in all thirteen meets on vault, beam and floor. She competed on bars ten times. She won the all-around against Alaska Anchorage. She also finished first on floor at the Sac State Quad meet. During her junior season in 2009, Eryn competed in the all-around ten times. She qualified for the NCAA West Regional as an individual.
