Tiffany Tam was born in Santa Clara, California on July 2 1987. She is the daughter of Raymond and Beina Tam. She has a younger brother and a younger sister. She graduated from Independence High School in 2005. She began gymnastics at Pegasus. After the 2002 season, she switched to West Valley.

In 2002, Tiffany competed as a level eight. She qualified to Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2003. She did not have her best performance at States. Tiffany did win a bronze medal on floor. At Regionals, she qualified for Westerns. She finished eighth on beam. Tiffany did level nine again in 2004. She finished fourth all-around at States. She also won beam. She won two bronze medals, one on bars and the other on vault. At the Regional Championships, she won floor. Tiffany placed fifth all-around. At the Western Championships, she placed fourth all-around. She finished fifth on floor. Her senior year was in 2005. She did level nine again. At States, she finished third all-around. She finished third all-around at Regionals. At the Western Championships, Tiffany placed fourth all-around again.

As a freshman at Cal, she competed on balance beam. During her sophomore year she continued to compete on beam. She retired after the 2007 season.
