Tanya Ho was born on September 19, 1988. She trained at Gymagic before moving to Byers. She graduated from high school in 2006.
In 1996, Tanya made the National TOPs Team. She competed level eight in 2000. She won bars at the Flips USA Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. Tanya competed level ten in 2003. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. Tanya finished sixth all-around at the State Championships in 2004. She finished eleventh all-around at Regionals. In 2005, Tanya placed second all-around at the Golden State Classic. She finished fourth all-around at the Surf City Classic. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault and second all-around. Tanya finished seventh all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2006, Tanya won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She placed third all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
As a freshman at Davis in 2007, Tanya qualified to NCAA Regionals on vault as an individual. She won vault in the first five meets of the season. She competed in the all-around eight times. She earned MPSF Gymnast of the Week once. She earned All-MPSF honors on vault, bars and the all-around. In 2008, Tanya won the all-around at the MPSF Championships. She qualified to NCAA Regionals as an individual all-arounder. She earned All-MPSF honors on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She won MPSF Gymnast of the Week three times. In 2009, Tanya competed in the all-around nine times. She earned All-MPSF honors on vault, bars and the all-around. She earned two MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors. Tanya qualified to NCAA Regionals in 2010 as an individual in the all-around. She was named MPSF Gymnast of the Year. She also earned All-MPSF honors on vault, bars and the all-around. She also garnered three MPSF Gymnast of the Week awards.
