Macy Toronjo was born on July 1, 1997. She trained at Maximum gymnastics until the end of the 2007 season. After the head coach at WGA Texans left, Macy moved to Texas Dreams in July 2010.

In 2007, Macy competed level seven. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished second on floor at the Metroplex Challenge. She won bars and placed third all-around at the South Padre Extravaganza. At the City of Lights Invitational, she won a silver medal on bars. Macy finished twelfth all-around at States, making Regionals. She ended her season by finishing in the top ten at Regionals.

She moved up to level nine in 2009. Macy won beam at the State Qualifier. She finished third all-around. She placed second on beam and fourth all-around at the Texas Prime Meet. She then competed at the Palm Beach Invitational. At States, Macy finished sixth all-around. She placed fourth on bars. In May, she qualified to the US Challenge. Macy competed level ten and junior pre-elite in 2010. She had strong performances at several invitationals including the Sand Dollar Invitational, WOGA Classic and Buckeye Classic. She competed at the State Championships. Macy narrowly missed making junior international elite at the Bieger Elite Qualifier. She finished second all-around at the US Challenge.
