Raley Torrance and her twin sister were born on September 25, 1998. She trained at Starlight Gymnastics in Florida. She moved to Jacksonville Academy of Gymnastics in the summer of 2011.

In 2005, Raley competed level four. She won the all-around at the Teddy Bear Invitational, Blackjack on the Beach meet and Starlight Invite. At the Florida State Championships, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She moved up to level six in 2006. She won the Aloha Meet, Gasparilla Invitational, Jungle Jim Invitational, Starlight Invitational and Blackjack on the Beach. At States, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. In the fall, Raley was named to the National TOPs "B" Team.

She competed level seven in 2008. Raley won the Mardi Gras Meet, Tim Rand Invitational, Leprechaun meet and Circle of the Stars Invitational. At the Florida State Championships, she won beam and finished second all-around. She made her second National TOPs "B" Team in the fall. She began competing level eight in 2009. Raley finished third on beam at the Battle of the Champions meet.

In 2010, Raley moved up to level nine. She won bars at the Tim Rand Invitational on her way to placing third all-around. At the Level 9 State Championships, she finished second all-around. She won beam. She did not compete the rest of the season due to injury. In 2011, Raley competed level ten. She finished fourth on bars at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational and Tim Rand Invitational. She competed at Regionals.
