Kristen Torres was born on December 5, 1993. She trains at Prestige Gymnastics in Pennsylvania. She is currently a level ten.

Kristen began her competitive gymnastics career in 2005 with a bang as she competed her first two meets on the same day. At the Black-eyed Susan Invitational Kristen competed her first meet as a level five and finished first in the all-around, bars, floor and vault. Immediately afterwards she competed as a level six and placed first in the all-around and floor. At the Level Six State Championships she placed third all-around as well as first on balance beam and second on bars.

The following year Kristen competed as a level seven. She qualified for and competed at the National Judges Cup State Challenge as a Pennsylvania team member. Kristen placed second all-around. It was the only meet that year that she did not place first all-around. She won gold at the Parkettes Invitational, Katie Baldwin Invitational, Hard Rock Invitational, and swept all events at the Buckeye Classic bringing home five golds. At the Level Seven State Championships Kristen placed first in the all-around as well as floor and vault while placing second on bars and third on beam.

In November 2007 Kristen again qualified as a Pennsylvania team member at the National Judges Cup. She competed as a Pennsylvania Individual and finished first in all events except floor where she finished fourth. She placed first all-around. Kristen competed a few meets as a level eight in 2008 finishing first all-around at the Parkettes Invitational and second at the Black-eyed Susan Invitational.

In 2009, Kristen competed as a level nine where she finished first all-around at the San Diego Classic and Katie Baldwin Invitational. At States she finished first on beam, second on vault and third all-around. At Regionals Kristen finished fifth all-around and qualified for Eastern Nationals. At Easterns Kristen won the balance beam championship while placing third all-around. She also placed fifth on floor and twelfth on both vault and bars. Kristen competed level ten in November of 2009. She won beam at the Black-Eyed Susan Invitational. In January, she finished second on floor at the Parkette Invitational.
