Erin Tucker was born on February 24, 1997. She began gymnastics at the age of four. She trained at Chelsea Piers Gymnastics in New York through the 2010 season. She then moved to American Gymnastics Academy in New Jersey. She began training at Just Kids Gymnastics (JK Gymnastics) in the spring of 2012. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Erin finished first on floor and third all-around as a level six at the Friendship Classic. She moved up to level seven in 2006. She won floor at the AOGC Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around and first on vault. She competed level eight in 2007. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She placed third on vault and floor. In the fall, Erin made the National TOPs Team.

Erin competed level nine in 2008. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She competed at Easterns. Erin continued competing level nine in 2009. She finished second at the Brestyan Invitational. She placed fifth at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars, floor and the all-around. Erin finished fourth on vault and the all-around at Easterns. She finished third on beam. She moved up to level ten in 2010. She won vault and floor at both the Sand Dollar Invitational and Nittany Invitational. Erin won vault and the all-around at the Manhattan Classic. She won vault at Regionals. Erin placed second all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2011, Erin won vault, bars and the all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She placed third on floor at the Excalibur Cup. She finished second on vault at the State and Regional Championships. In 2012, Erin finished second on beam and third on vault at the Star Struck Invitational. She finished fiftha ll-around at the State Championships. Erin placed eleventh all-around at Regionals. Erin finished tenth all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
