Rebecca Lynn Tutka was born on December 10, 1992 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She began gymnastics at the age of two and a half. Her parents are Jim and Jill. She has a brother named Michael. Her favorite people include Tia Orlando, Will Ferrell and Angelina Jolie. Becky hopes to get a full ride to college. She trains at Parkettes.
In 2005, Becky competed as a level nine. She finished fifth all-around at the Parkette Invitational. At States, Becky placed third on bars. Shortly before Regionals, she finished second all-around at the Friendship Classic. Becky's season ended at Regionals. In 2006, she moved up to level ten. She placed third all-around at the Maryland Classic and Parkette Invite. She travelled all the way to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl. She finished fourth on floor. Her last meet before states was the Pancott Invitational Becky won floor! At States, she finished with the bronze medal on floor. Becky improved her score by a point for Regionals. At Regionals, she qualified for the JO National Championships. Becky ended her level ten season at that meet. However, she went for elite during the summer. Becky made it to junior international elite on her second time. Unfortunately, she was injured during training at the US Classic.
Becky was injured during the 2007 season. She returned in December to finish third on beam and floor at the Greater NY Invitational. She placed second on beam and fourth all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake Meet. In 2008, she won beam and placed third on bars at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She finished fifth all-around at the Friendship Classic. Becky placed sixth all-around at States. At Regionals, she won beam and placed second on floor. She qualified for JO Nationals. She finished fourth on beam and twelfth all-around!
In 2009, Becky continued competing as a level ten. She finished third on floor at the Brestyan's Invitational. She won floor and placed second all-around at the Maryland Classic. She finished third on floor at the Parkette Invitational. Becky won the all-around, bars and beam at the Friendship Classic. At States, she won beam and the all-around. She finished third all-around at Regionals with a first place finish on beam. At JO Nationals, she finished in the top ten on beam, floor and the all-around. Becky has committed to the University of Utah. She will begin college in the fall of 2011.
