Kayla Uzzell was born on February 1, 1996. She trains at Twin City Twisters. Kayla will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2006, Kayla competed level seven. She finished in the top ten at the IGI Chicago Style. She continued competing level seven in 2007. Kayla moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished fifth on vault at the Rising Stars Invitational. She competed at Regionals. Kayla missed the 2009 season due to injury.

Kayla continued competing level eight in 2010. She won vault at the Gopher Women's Invitational. She placed third on vault at the Winter Carnival. She won vault and finished third on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Rising Stars Invitational, Kayla won vault. She finished third on vault at the Northern Lights Invitational. Kayla won vault at the State Championships. She will miss the 2011 season due to elbow surgery.
