Kyla Vacchio was born on August 18, 1994. She trained at Paramount Gymnastics through the 2009 season. She then moved to Arena. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2007, Kyla competed level eight. She finished second on vault at the Team Challenge. She continued competing level eight in 2008. She placed third on floor at the Team Challenge. Kyla moved up to level nine for the 2008-2009 season. She finished third all-around at the Rutgers Classic. Kyla did not compete in the all-around at the State Championships. In the fall, she was named First Team All-State for high school gymnastics.
Kyla continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished second on vault and bars at the Vegas Cup. She won beam and the all-around at the Long Island Classic. At Regionals, she placed second all-around. Kyla finished third on beam, sixth on floor and eleventh all-around at Easterns. In the fall, she won vault, bars, beam and floor at her high school Conference Championship. She also won the all-around title at the State Championships.
