Lauren Vandenberg will graduate from high school in 2013. She trained at Farmington Gymnastics Center in Michigan through the 2008 season. She then moved to Oakland Gymnastics.

In 2008, Lauren competed level seven. She finished third on bars at the Twistars Invitational. She placed second all-around at the California Classic. Lauren moved up to level eight in 2009. She finished first on beam and floor at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed second all-around. Lauren won the all-around title at the For Love or Money meet. She placed first on floor at the Wolverine Classic. She also won floor at the State Championships. She placed fourth on floor and fifth all-around at Regionals. In 2010, Lauren finished first all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. At the IGI Chicago Style and Motown Madness meet, she placed first on floor and second all-around. Lauren won vault at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. She finished third on vault and second on floor at Regionals.

Lauren continued competing level eight in 2011. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the Motown Madness meet. She also won bars at the all-around at the All American Invitational. At the State Championships, Lauren won beam, floor and the all-around. She placed first on bars, beam and the all-around at Regionals.
