Lindsay VanRooyen was born on November 4, 1996. She began competing for Naydenov Gymnastics in Washington. She moved to WOGA in 2005. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2004, Lindsay competed level four. She finished third on vault and fifth all-around at the Rainier Cup. At the State Championships, she placed in the top fifteen. She competed level five in 2005. She finished in the top ten at States in the gold division. Lindsay moved up to level six in 2006. She finished third on bars at the District Championships. She won the all-around at the State Championships in the silver division. Lindsay competed one level seven meet in 2007.

In 2008, she competed level eight. She finished third on beam and floor at the WOGA Classic. She placed fourth all-around. She finished second on beam at the Rose City Classic. She finished sixth all-around at States. At Regionals, she won uneven bars. Lindsay moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished sixth at the Great West Gym Fest. At the State Championships, she qualified for Regionals where she ended her season. She continued competing level nine in 2010. She placed in the top ten at the Pikes Peak Cup, Houston National Invitational and state Championships. At Regionals, she placed fifth all-around and third on beam. She ended her season with a top ten finish at Westerns.
