Andrea Vazquez was born on August 12, 1995. She trained at Twins Gymnastics until the fall of 2005. She then moved to Orlando to train at Orlando Metro. She will graduate from Olympia High School in 2012.

In 2006, Andrea competed level eight. She placed second on bars, first on beam and third all-around at the Pikes Peak Cup. At the Atlanta Crown Invitational, she finished second all-around. At Regionals, she placed third all-around. Andrea moved up to level nine in 2007. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At Regionals, she won bars. She continued competing level nine in 2008. Andrea won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Easterns, she finished first on beam and eleventh all-around.

Andrea began competing level ten in 2009. She won bars at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. In 2010, she finished fourth all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational, Pikes Peak Cup and IGI Chicago Style. At the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational, she won the all-around. Andrea also won bars and the all-around at the City of Lights Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed third all-around. She won beam. At Regionals, she placed second all-around, first on beam and first on floor. She ended her season at JO Nationals. Andrea placed 18th all-around, 2nd on bars and 10th on floor.
