Ava Verdeflor was born on January 2, 1999. She trained at Airborne Gymnastics in California before moving to Texas. She has competed with WOGA since 2006. Her favorte event is floor. She will graduate from high school in 2017.

In 2006, Ava competed level five. She finished fifth on beam at the District Championships. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the North State Championships. She competed level six in 2007. She finished second on beam at the Rising Stars Invitational. She placed third on floor at the District Championships. At the North State Championships, Ava finished second on beam. She placed third on beam at the State Championships. In 2008, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the WOGA Classic.

Ava competed level seven in the 2009 season. She finished third all-around at the WOGA Classic. She placed third on bars at the Metroplex Challenge. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Great West Gym Fest. Ava won beam at the North State Championships. She finished second on floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, she won floor. She finished second all-around. Ava competed level eight in 2010. She won beam and the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. She also finished first on beam at the WOGA Classic. She placed 11th all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on bars and sixth all-around.
