Kristin Vignola was born on December 26, 1991. She trained at Atlantic Coast Gymnastics during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.
In 2003, Kristin competed level eight. She competed at Regionals. In 2004, Kristin finished fourth all-around at Regionals. She competed level nine in 2005. She competed at Regionals. In 2007, she finished in the top ten at Regionals. She competed at Easterns. Kristin moved up to level ten in 2008. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She placed second on floor at Regionals. In 2009, Kristin finished third on floor at the State and Regional Championships. She competed at JO Nationals. Kristin finished first on floor at the 2010 Rutgers Color Games. She won vault and floor at the Parkette Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Winterbowl. At the Frederick Classic, she finished second all-around. She placed second on floor at the State Championships. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
As a freshman at Ball State in 2011, Kristin competed in all twelve meets. She competed on vault and floor.
