Kristina Voss was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 13, 1987. She is the daughter of Edward and Gabrielle. Kristina has one sister, Katrina. She trained at Extreme Gymnastics until 2000. She then switched to Desert Devils. Kristina moved to Arizona Sunrays for the 2004 season. She is currently a freshman at Auburn University.

In 1995, Kristina was the level five state champion. She won the level seven state title in 1998. She competed at Regionals in 1999 as a level eight. Kristina was competing as a level ten by 2001. She won the Regional vault title. She competed at the JO National Championships. Kristina won States and Regionals in 2002. She won floor at JO Nationals! After the level ten season, she competed as a junior national elite at the US Challenge. Kristina did not compete at many meets in 2003.

With her new gym in 2004, she won the Sweetheart Invitational and the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. She finished fourth all-around at States and Regionals. At the JO National Championships, she finished fourth all-around. Kristina won the all-around title at States in 2005. Unfortunately, she had a bad bar routine at Regionals. She did compete as a senior pre-elite at the US Challenge. In 2006, Kristina won her third level ten state title. She finished second all-around at Regionals. At the JO National Championships, Kristina placed fourth on floor and second on beam.

As a freshman in 2007, she finished second on bars against LSU. She placed third all-around at the Cancun Classic and fourth all-around against NC State. She was award the Auburn Freshman of the Year award. She was also named an Academic All-American. She was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. As a sophomore, she continued competing in the all-around. She was an Academic All-American and on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second time. In 2009, she vaulted at every meet. She participated on bars and floor in all but three meets. She competed on beam four times. She competed all four events twice. She finished third on vault against Illinois-Chicago.
