Megan Walker was born on September 28, 1993. She trains at Southern Tier Gymnastics Academy in New York. Megan was a member of the 2003 and 2004 National TOP Team. She competed level seven in 2003. In 2004, Megan competed at the American Challenge as a TOPS Elite.
In 2004, Megan competed as a level eight. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. Megan was second on floor and third on bars. In 2005, she moved up to level ten. At the Buckeye Classic, she finished fourth all-around! At Regionals, she won floor. By placing in the top seven all-around, she qualified for the JO National Championships. Megan ended her season at that meet. She then qualified for child pre-elite for the US Challenge.
Megan continued competing as a level ten in 2006. She finished second all-around at the I Love NY Cup and won the Penev's Classic. At Regionals, she became the alternate for JO Nationals. Megan competed junior pre-elite at the US Challenge. She did very well.
In 2007, Megan started her year at the I Love NY Cup where she finished fifth in the all-around and grabbed two silver medals on vault and floor exercise. After the Level 10 Regionals, Megan went to the July National Elite Qualifier where she qualified to pre-elite level. At the 2007 US Challenge, Megan only did balance beam and floor exercise.
In 2008, Megan started her season at the I Love NY Cup hosted by her gym. She placed third on everything, including the all-around. She then placed second on uneven bars at the Niagara Cup. At the Level 10 New York State Championships, Megan did really well by placing second in the all-around. She won the uneven bars title and placed second on floor exercise. At the Level 10 Regionals, Megan placed 2nd in the all-around as well as 2nd on bars, beam, and floor. She qualified to JO Nationals for the second time. At the 2009 US Classic, Megan finished 22nd in the all-around and 11th on uneven bars.
Megan started her 2009 season at the Parkette Invitational, where she finished sixth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. She then won silver medals on all events and in the all-around. Megan decided to continue her level 10 season and will try to re-qualify to international elite in 2010. Therefore, Megan qualified to Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing first in the all-around and won gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. At the 2009 JO Nationals in Washington, she finished 14th in the all-around as well as third on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise. Megan committed to Auburn in the fall.
Megan's 2010 season started at the Sand Dollar Invitational in Florida. She finished second in the all-around, second on uneven bars and balance beam in the level 10 session. She then placed sixth in the all-around and third on vault in the elite session on the next day. At the I Love NY Cup, she placed second second on everything, including the all-around. At the Rochester Classic, she won the all-around title as well as first on uneven bars and second on balance beam. Megan then traveled to Ohio for the Buckeye Classic. On the first day, she finished fifth in the all-around and second on balance beam in the elite session. On the next day, she won the all-around title as well as first on bars, beam and floor in the level 10 session. There, she qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup in Worcester, MA. Megan won another all-around title at the Pink Invitational. She also won gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam. Megan traveled to Worcester, MA for the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Classic where she finished 13th on unevne bars. At the Level 10 State Championships, she won the all-around title and second on balance beam. She then won another all-around title at the Level 10 Regional Championships. She also won gold medals on bars, beam and floor. There, she qualified to her 5th Junior Olympic National Championships in Dallas, TX! At the JO Nationals, she finished 15th in the all-around and second on uneven bars.
In 2011, Megan won the uneven bars title at the Winter Classic and the balance beam title at the Maryland Classic. At the Metroplex Challenge, she placed eighth in the all-around and first on uneven bars. Megan swept gold medals at the I Love NY Cup. At the Presidential Classic, she placed second in the all-aroud as well as first on uneven bars and balance beam. She won the all-around title at the Rutgers Classic and placed second in the all-around at the Heartland Classic. At the Level 10 State Championships, Megan placed second in the all-around, first on uneven bars and third on balance beam. She placed first on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around at the Level 10 Regionals. She qualified to the JO Nationals for the final and sixth time. At the JO Nationals in Long Beach, California, Megan placed 22nd in the all-around and tenth on uneven bars.
