Thomasina Wallace was born on July 16, 1990. She trained at Eric Will Gymnastics through the 2003 season. She then trained at Scats Diamond Elite until 2005. Thomasina began competing for Charter Oak Gliders in 2006.

In 2000, Thomasina competed level six. She competed at the State Championships in the fall. In 2003, Thomasina competed level eight. She finished third on bars and tenth all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She finished third all-around at the San Diego Classic. Thomasina finished first on vault at the California Classic. At Regionals, she won vault and the all-around titles. She finished seventh on bars and ninth on vault at Westerns. She moved up to level ten in 2005. She won all five gold medals at the Surf City Classic. Thomasina placed second on floor at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Thomasina continued competing level ten in 2006. She finished third on bars at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she finished second on vault. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. In 2007, Thomasina only competed on bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars. She did not compete in the all-around. In 2008, she won bars at the California Classic. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Heart of a Champion Invitational. Thomasina finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on floor and fourth all-around. She placed seventh on vault, third on bars, second on beam and second all-around at JO Nationals!

As a freshman at San Jose State in 2009, Thomasina became the first SJSU gymnast to win an event at a Regional meet after she won uneven bars. She qualified as an individual to the NCAA Championships. At the WAC Championships, she won floor. She was named WAC Freshman of the Year. Additionally, Thomasina was a first-team All-WAC on bars and floor and a second-team in the all-around. She was named WAC Gymnast of the Week four times. She competed in the all-around at all twelve meets. She won five all-around wins. Thomasina also tied the highest all-around score in SJSU history at the NCAA West Regionals.

In 2010, Thomasina competed in the all-around in the first ten meets before an injury forced her to miss the last two meets. She won the all-around in the first three meets of the year. On vault, Thomasina won against Davis. She won bars in three meets. She finished first on floor at Sac State.
