Kellie Wanamaker was born on May 15, 1995. She trained at CS Gymnastics until after the 2006 season. She now trains at Parkettes Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2003, she competed as a level five. She finished second on bars at the Greater New York Invitational. At the 2004 Level 5 State Championships, she finished fourth on floor and third on bars. She jumped up to level seven in the 2004 season. She finished first on bars at the Sectional Championships. At States, she finished third on beam and fourth all-around. The next year in 2006 Kellie competed as a level eight. She finished fourth all-around at the Sectional meet. She competed at States.

Kellie moved up to level nine for the 2007 season. She won the Commonwealth Cup and Greater New York Invitational in the fall of 2006. She won the Brestyan Invitatonal in January of 2007. She ended her season at Regionals. She continued competing as a level nine in 2008. She finished eleventh all-around at States. She competed at Regionals but had a disastrous beam routine. In May, she qualified to junior pre-elite. She finished sixth overall at the US Challenge. After a year break from competing, Kellie qualified to junior pre-elite in June 2009 at the Parkette Elite Qualifier. A few weeks later, she earned her international elite score at the July National Qualifier. She competed at the US Classic. In 2010, Kellie qualified to junior international elite. She competed at the US National Championships. Kellie competed on bars at the 2011 Maryland Classic and Parkette Invitational. She placed second at both meets.
