Kristie Wei was born on May 10, 1993. She trained at Rettig's Gymnastics through the 2008 season. She now trains at Gymnastika under coaches Pavel Sout and Natalia Shaposhnikova. Kristie will graduate from high school in 2011.

In 2008, Kristie competed level nine. She moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished tenth at the State Championships. In 2010, Kristie finished sixth all-around at the Star Struck Invitational and fifth at the Sportsplex Team Classic. She finished seventh all-around at the State Championships. She qualified to Regionals but did not compete.

Kristie also competes for her high school, becoming the first gymnast from her school to qualify to the State Championships. She placed second all-around at both the Sectional Championships and Somerset County Championships. Kristie was a First-Team All-State Selection on vault and a Second-Team All-State Selection in the all-around.
