Brittany Wenzel was born on September 2, 1994. She trains at Universal Gymnasts in Ohio. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2005, Brittany competed level five. She won bars and floor at the Buckeye Classic. She finished first all-around at the State Championships. She competed level seven in 2007. She finished third on vault at the Hard Rock Invitational. Brittany moved up to level eight in 2008. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished second all-around and third on bars. She began competing level nine in 2009. She won vault at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. Brittany finished first on floor and in the all-around at the Surf City Classic. She placed third on beam at the For Love or Money meet and second on vault at the Buckeye Classic. She did not compete in the championship season.

Brittany continued competing level nine in 2010. She won vault and beam at the Universal Galaxy meet. She finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the TOPS Super Challenge and Arnold Gymnastics Challenge. Brittany won vault, floor and the all-around at the Queen City Classic. At the State Championships, she placed first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around. Brittany placed second on bars and in the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed third on floor and fourth on vault and in the all-around.

In 2011, Brittany started her level 10 season at the Universal Galaxy Invitational where she finished first on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. At the Arnold Gymnastics Challenge, she finished first on vault and in the all-around. She placed third in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise at the Girl Power Invitational. At the Level 10 State Championships, Brittany finished sixth in the all-around, fourth on uneven bars and second on floor exercise qualifying to the Level 10 Regionals.

Brittany started her 2012 season at the University Galaxy Invitational, finishing second in the all-around as well as first on vault and floor exercise. At the Circle of Stars, she finished third in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She placed first on vault and floor exercise as well as third in the all-around at the Queen City Classic. At the Arnold Gymnastics Challenge, Brittany placed second on vault and third on uneven bars and floor exercise, qualifying to the event event finals on the next day. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished second in the all-around as well as first on vault and floor exercise. She did well at the Level 10 Regionals, finishing third in the all-around and second on vault. This qualified Brittany to the JO Nationals in Hampton, VA where she finished 30th all-around.
