Kari Willett was born on June 1, 1995. She trains at Capital Gymnastics in Virginia. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2004, Kari competed level six. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level seven in 2005. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. Kari began competing level eight in 2006. She placed in the top fifteen at the State Championships. In 2007, Kari won bars at the Surf City Classic. She placed third on vault at the State Championships. She finished third on floor and sixth all-around at the State Championships in 2008.

Kari began competing level nine in 2009. She finished third all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She placed second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won beam. Kari competed at Easterns. In 2010, she placed first on beam at the Maryland Classic. She finished first on beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third all-around. Kari competed at Easterns.

She began competing level ten in 2011. She finished fourth all-around at the Capital Cup. At the State Championships, she won beam. Kari finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.
