Courtney Willoughby was born on September 10, 1993. She will graduate in 2011 from Nashoba Regional High School. Courtney began her competitive gymnastics career at the age of six. She moved to Brestyan's in 2005.
In 2006, Courtney competed level seven. She won the all-around at the State Championships. She finished second on bars and floor. She moved up to level eight in 2007. She placed second all-around at States. She won vault. At Regionals, she finished fourth on vault and floor. In 2008, Courtney competed level nine. At the State Championships, she placed fourth all-around, third on vault and beam, and first on floor. Her next meet was Regionals where she finished second all-around and first on floor. She ended her season at Easterns, placing sixth on beam.
Courtney moved up to level ten in 2009. She placed fourth all-around at the Brestyan Invitational and City of Lights Invitational. She won a bronze medal on vault at Regionals. She continued to improve in 2010. She finished second all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational and AOGC Invitational. Courtney won the Starlight Invitational. She placed third all-around at States. She finished second on vault and floor. At Regionals, she placed second all-around. Courtney also placed second on beam and floor. She ended her season at JO Nationals. Following the season, she committed to George Washington University.
