Jane Winstead was born on May 10, 1995. She grew up overseas, training at Irini Peristeriou in Athens, Greece, from ages ten to twelve. She began competing in the United States with Apollo Gymnastics during the 2008-2009 season. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2007, Jane helped her team with a gold medal at the Greek Junior National Championships. She competed level eight during the 2008-2009 season. She finished second all-around at the Commonwealth Games. She placed third all-around at the East Coast Classic in February. At the Excalibur Cup, she placed third all-around. Jane finished first on vault, bars and the all-around at the Rock n Roll Invitational. At the Frederick Classic, she won vault. Jane won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top twenty all-around at Regionals. She finished second on vault
Jane began competing level nine in 2010. She finished second on vault and floor at the Cancun Classic. She won vault at the Magical Classic. At the Rock n Roll Invitational, she placed third all-around. She finished second on beam at the Charleston Cup. She finished third on vault at the State Championships. Jane finished second on vault and eighth all-around at Regionals. In 2011, she placed first on beam at both the Star Struck Invitational and Excalibur Cup. Jane placed second on floor at the Rock n Roll Invitational. At the State Championships, she won floor. Jane placed first on beam and sixth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Easterns. She moved up to level ten in 2012. She won beam at the Emerald City Classic.
