Whitnee Johnson was born on January 15, 1993. She trained at Show Me Gymnastics in Missouri. She graduated from high school in 2011.
In 2005, Whitnee competed level nine. She placed third on vault and second on floor at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. She finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the 2006 Level 9 State Championships. At Regionals, she placed second on vault and floor. She competed at Westerns. In 2007, Whitnee won all five gold medals at the State Championships. She placed second all-around at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. Whitnee began competing level ten in 2008. SHe placed second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. She competed at JO Nationals.
Whitnee finished first on beam at the Gateway Challenge. She competed at Regionals. In 2010, Whitnee placed first on bars at the Meet Me In St. Louis meet. At Regionals, she finished first on vault. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2011, Whitnee won all five gold medals at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. She placed second on beam and fifth all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
