Jamie Yamashita was born on February 27, 1994. Jamie trains at SCEGA. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2004, Jamie competed level five. She moved up to level six in 2005. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. Jamie competed level seven in 2007. She finished third on bars and beam at the IGHOF Invitational. She finished third on bars at the California Classic. At the Top Flight Invite, she placed third on bars. Jamie finished third on floor at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished first on vault and the all-around at the California Classic. She won the all-around title at the Heart of a Champion Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals.

Jamie competed level nine in 2009. She finished third on floor at the San Diego Classic. At the California Classic, she won bars. She placed second all-around at the Heart of a Champion Invitational. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Malibu Coast Challenge. At the State Championships, she won bars. Jamie placed third all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed fifth on bars and fourth on beam.

She moved up to level ten in 2010. She finished second all-around at the California Classic. She placed third on bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished in the top fifteen all-around. Jamie competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament. In 2011, she placed first all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. At the Gliders Invitational, she won beam. Jamie won bars and the all-around at the California Classic. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
