Kali Zamkoff was born on October 20, 1995. She trains at Rebound Gymnastics in Cliffwood, New Jersey. Kali is coached by Diane Farrel. She is currently a freshman at Marlboro High School in Marlboro, New Jersey. Kali hopes to earn a college scholarship.
Kali began competing in 2005 as a level five. She won vault and floor at the Scarlet Cup. She moved up to level six in 2006, winning floor at Sectionals and the Parkettes Invitational. In addition to the junior olympic program, Kali also participated in TOPs. She qualified to the National TOPs Testing twice. In 2007, Kali had a very successful season as a level seven. She swept the gold medals at the Acorn Cup. At the Scarlet Cup, she won the all-around. Kali later won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the WOGA Classic. At States, she placed third all-around and won beam.
She moved up to level eight in 2008. At the Rutgers Classic, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Kali won floor at the Parkettes Invitational and Greater NY Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault and floor. Kali ended her season by winning the vault, beam and all-around titles at Regionals! During the 2009 season, Kali competed level nine and pre-elite testing. Unfortunately injuries cut her season short. She returned as a level ten in 2010. She immediately found success, winning vault and beam at the Rutgers Color Games. Her next meet was the Sand Dollar Invitational, where she finished second on vault. She finished tenth all-around at the State Championships. Kali qualified for Regionals but did not compete.
